What is PTF, and what does this number mean?

PTF is the hourly wholesale electricity price in Turkey’s organised market. It is formed in the day-ahead market operated by EPİAŞ by matching bids for each hour of the next day. There is no single daily price — it is a 24-value series.

The page is live: it highlights the current Istanbul hour and refreshes real market data on a regular interval. The published hourly PTF does not change for that hour during the day.

How to read this series

Each hour’s price is formed independently; read the full set.
The gap between night hours and evening peak can be large on the same day.
The daily average is a handy summary, but no consumer pays “the average”.
The min–max range shows that day’s volatility.
